Sleep Guide

SLOW DOWN BEFORE BEDTIME

Get in the mood for sleeping by turning off bright lights and loud sounds, and by reading, or listening to soft music. Perhaps do some relaxing yoga. Avoid exercise which will increase your pulse rate, as this will make you more awake.

MAKE SURE YOU’RE NOT HUNGRY BEFORE BED

A hungry body will not let you relax. Have a banana or a slice of bread if you feel hungry at bedtime. Don’t take a large meal!

GET OUT OF BED IF YOU FEEL AWAKE

Don’t stay in bed if you cannot sleep. Instead, drink some warm milk or have a hot bath. It will increase your body temperature and therefore make it easier to relax and fall asleep.

WRITE DOWN YOUR STRESSES

Don’t bring stress factors to bed. If your head is filled with things to do, get a piece of paper and write it down in order to clear your thoughts.

Frequently asked questions

If your mattress is worn out and has lumps or hollows, it will cause the memory foam overlay to eventually also conform to these lumps and hollows. So for best results, the overlay should be used on a mattress that is in a good condition.
Memory foam retains body heat better than other mattresses, however, it uses open celled polymers that are breathable therefore allowing air to move freely through the mattress helping to reduce the heating effect.
A memory foam overlay will make a difference to pretty much most mattresses, spring or other. Whilst our existing mattress can provide excellent support, an overlay can help with providing additional comfort and pressure relief as it responds to your body heat and conforms to the shape of your body.
Memory foam is undoubtedly one of the healthiest sleeping surfaces on the market today. It’s pressure relieving capability helps to improve general sleep quality, improves blood circulation, alleviates back pain and is also hyper allergenic and dust mite resistant.
